Sheep

“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

See sheep are the ones who belong to God. He doesn’t call us sheep because sheep are dumb or weak. He calls us sheep because He calls Himself a Shepard. See shepherds leave their 99 sheep to go care for the sick one. They leave the 99 to go find the one who lost its way. And when wolves come and attack, the shepherd goes and faces off the wolves. See the shepherd risks his own life for the sake of its sheep. In the same way Jesus promised to do for us. So in the sense yes we are not sheep, but even if we were, He will still love us . So, in the end, we are not just sheep, we are His sheep as in the same sense a daughter or son belongs to their parents, those who give up their lives for Him belong to Him.
