Secular Fast : Day Two
"Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry." Luke 4:1-2
I woke up and did the same morning routine as usual but on Tuesdays I clean. So after I had my breakfast and read a little I decided to find some Christian music I hadn't listened to before. I found this band called WorshipMob and I’m obsessed! They have this one song called Bride of Christ and I listened to it 3 times. (I’ll add the link down below). I took a break and went on to TBN. I tuned in to Praise which is a Christian talk show. Just like any talk show, you may agree with some people you may not. But it’s always nice to understand someone’s point of view (note that understanding does not mean agreeing). Anyway, the special guest was a guy who believed we should eat more on the outside of the store (meat, veggie, seafood, and veggie section). If you don’t know I suffered from a lot of stomach issues in the past so staying away from processed food to help heal my stomach has been a priority. But due to me having alpha-gal in the past I couldn’t eat beef. Now that I can I still stay away just cause I don’t know how to cook it or what to do with it. But hearing the symptoms of protein fatigue and noticing that the veggies that do have a lot of protein (mushrooms, beans, peas) are all the ones I don’t eat inspired me to learn how to cook meat. I’m not saying eating meat or not eating meat is good but to have protein is good whether it's through veggies or meat because being healthy is our responsibility as God has given us this body. Anyways I didn’t do much other than go to my boyfriend’s house and doing my night routine. But I definitely felt a lot happier this Tuesday compared to last Tuesday.
