Relying On Others For Our Relationship With God
Sometimes we are tied by chains. We get spiritual attacks or oppressions that we have to snap out of. Whenever I feel a spiritual attack coming along or I feel my anxiety getting the best of me, I go to this book filled with powerful prayers to rebuke anxiety, depression, anger, frustration, etc. and before I continue you on I was diagnosed with GAD so I do know how real anxiety feels likes and with that, I want to tell you that you can be healed. Cuz even tho it seems impossible, we know the God of the impossible. Back to what I was saying, I would rely heavily on that book. However, it was written in my heart to give it to someone else. Shortly afterward I was faced with an obstacle in my life. I went to go get that book just to remember that I gave it away. That’s when it hit me. I relied so much on that book that even tho it was a Christian book I made it an idol! For I made that the foundation of my prayer life and prayer is so important. It’s literally having a conversation with God whenever and wherever we want. That book changed my life. It taught me how to pray and it was an inspiration for me. So it wasn’t a sin to have that book, but it became sin when I relied on that for my relationship with God. Even with Pastors even though they are amazing and inspirational, we should not make them the only ones responsible for our relationship. It is like someone telling you exactly what to say on a date and you do it every time. Then your date doesn’t know you because you are heavily relying on someone else for your relationship. So through God, you are strong enough to break every chain the dark has on you. Through the Holy Spirit, you will be guided. And through the Son of God, you are forgiven.
