Pillars
“The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.”
Lamentations 3:22 NASB1995
Pillars, what are they? Pillars are the things that hold us up. Now many of us can say God is our pillar but I can also say that I’m Beyoncé dressed as a 17-year-old Puerto Rican. Saying we have the Lord as our pillar doesn’t necessarily mean that He IS our pillar. It might be convicting but it’s true. Many of us are relying on something other than the Lord to hold us up.
Yet, we are human. We make mistakes and we struggle. So what do we do to put God first and rely on Him more than anything? We first, get into the word.
When we get into the word we are able to create a personal relationship with Him. And when we do we make our relationship with Him our own. And as we continue to do that we continue to grow. When we grow we are able to develop trust in our relationship with Him.
Trust is fundamental. When we trust Him we are able to make Him the walk in which we stand. We are able to trust that if we rely on Him as our pillar we will not be shaken.
Because “The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.”
Lamentations 3:22 NASB1995
Amen. So let us trust in Him and that He is watching over us. He is holding us up. We may be weak but since He is holding us up we know we will not fall. Just as the little girl trusts in her father that he will not drop her when he picks her up so too we will trust in God
