Being a Child of God

A love that a father and mother have for their children is nothing compared to the love that God gives for us

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—”

When a man or women loves a child, that child become their own. Whether they are their nephew or their grandchild or even adopted . We still become theirs. I treat my boyfriend’s sister like my daughter. Before I even dated her brother I was her babysitter. And because I love her I have done everything from prepare food to her, brush her hair, and care and love her to the point where people have even asked if she was my daughter.

Although she’s not my daughter and I could never take the place of her mother, I still will love her as my own. In the same way God loves us as we are His own. But the wonderful thing is we are His sons and daughters ! He has adopted us into His family . God made us in our innermost being because He loves us. He knit us together before we even took our first breathe out of love. Jesus died on the cross out of love for us . And nothing compared to that love.

“And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.”
