Love Through Actions

"And now these three remain faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13


See my love language is words of affirmation. Nothing wrong with that but for people like my dad whose love language is actions, we sometimes need to communicate more When I get straight A’s I will feel loved if my dad said “Good job I knew you could do. So proud of you.” Instead, he doesn’t even make eye contact with me and just says “Nice.” Yea he’s not good with words but he later comes home with my favorite food (which is expensive as well so I can’t have it a lot) and it has a post-it note that says “For the straight-A thing .” Lol, my point is that we all have a different way of loving each other and in the same way we all have a different of showing our kindness to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. With that, it is our job to appreciate each other for our differences and value each one of them. 1 John 3-18 is easy to misinterpret. In NIV it says “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬ but the CJB says “Children, let us love not with words and talk, but with actions and in reality!”

In saying that whatever way you choose to love each other let it be truthful. Don’t just say “I love you” to one another. Prove it to them with actions that are just
