Rest
“I said in my heart, “Come now, I will test you with mirth; therefore enjoy pleasure”; but surely, this also was vanity. I said of laughter—“Madness!”; and of mirth, “What does it accomplish?” I searched in my heart how to gratify my flesh with wine, while guiding my heart with wisdom, and how to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was good for the sons of men to do under heaven all the days of their lives.” Ecclesiastes 2:1-3 NKJV

God grants us different types of rest. We have physical rest, mindful rest, and spiritual rest.
Physical rest is obvious. You are not doing work that requires high body movement. Healthline says, “Rest days are just as important as exercise. In fact, a successful fitness regimen isn't complete without rest days. Taking regular breaks allows your body to recover and repair. It's a critical part of progress, regardless of your fitness level or sport.” The Bible talks about this too, “nor carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day, nor do any work, but hallow the Sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.”
Jeremiah 17:22 NKJV
The next rest is mindful rest. This is something I forget to do quite often. If I’m not studying for a math test then I’m studying for work. Eventually, I end up feeling too burnt out to do anything a few weeks later and now am stacked with assignments. Mayoclinic states,” Job burnout is a special type of work-related stress — a state of physical or emotional exhaustion that also involves a sense of reduced accomplishment and loss of personal identity. “ So what do we do when this happens? Well, it’s simple, you go to Him and ask Him for rest. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 NKJV
Now comes the last form of rest, spiritual rest. Now this one is a bit different from the others. Because while physical rest means you are resting from anything physical and while mindful rest means you’re resting from using your mind too much, spiritual rest doesn’t mean you are resting from being spiritual. It means you are GETTING rest BY being spiritual. I’m telling you from my own experiences when I’m stressed or I’m tired i go listen to some worship music, praise the Lord, and go to a Bible study and I’m pumped! It’s this thing I like to call a “Jesus high.” Almost like a camp high and it refreshes and renews me. To me, it’s like going on a fun vacation. You come back and now you’re ready to take on the world! So, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls,” Matthew 11:29 NKJV, and remember that you,
“can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 NKJV
