Tired of Being Tired
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” - Matthew 6:21 NASB1995
Where do your priorities lie? Or where is your heart (Matthew 6:21). As a new season comes this way we see priorities change. They change from work to school to family to relationships and all the above. It’s easy to lose focus on your priorities and it’s easy to let go of your priorities altogether. So if it’s easy to lose focus on something that is your priority than imagine how easy it is to lose focus on God when you don’t even make Him a priority. “I’ll get back on track next week,” some of us say. Or “Once this is over I will read my Bible again.” See God understands our hearts but He is also a jealous God (Exodus 34:14). So imagine how He feels when we play video games all day and then complain how there wasn’t enough time in the day to read. God made 24 hours for a reason and I strongly believe we can take a least 10 minutes to be with Him. So the question is God really your priority? And if He isn’t then are you ready to make Him yours?
