God vs World
"I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands." Psalm 63:1
If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.”
Matthew 18:3, 8-9 NIV
Sometimes the things of this world can seem better than the word of God. The keyword is “seem”. Sometimes we get caught up in things impure saying that it’s alright because God will forgive us. The thing is God forgives us because He loves us. And in Luke 10:27 He says that the way to inherit eternal life is to “’ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” But loving someone means to not take advantage of them. What type of girlfriend or boyfriend would you be if you just keep doing wrongs and just say “It’s alright they will forgive me anyway.” That’s not right for them and neither is that right towards God. Taking advantage of his mercy means we don’t truly and deeply love him. So if it means deleting an app from your phone so you won’t stumble, or avoid certain people, then do it. Because the joy of this world is nothing compared to the wrong of taking advantage of God’s mercy, and missing out on his kindness God bless you all I love you Good night sweet dreams
