12 Verses: Church

1: Church should fellowship, do communion, and devote themselves to teachings and praying

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.”

2: Spread God’s word

“And now the word of the Lord is ringing out from you to people everywhere, even beyond Macedonia and Achaia, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your faith in God. We don’t need to tell them about it,”

‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭

Christianity was illegal in Macedonia yet they were still able to bring others to the faith. If they were able to do it then so should we.

3: The Church makes disciples

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

Making disciples is not just something Pastors should do, we should do it as well. Guiding people to Him and His love.

4: The Church loves each other

“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

5: Guard your heart against false teachers and denominations that believe their way is the only way to follow Christ

“Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.”

6: Remember Jesus

“and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it into pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.””

I know it sounds dumb but there are some Churches that focus on motivation and not Jesus. (If you ever see me doing that call me out right away).

7: Know and use their gifts

“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”

8: Church submits to each other

“singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”

9: Church cares for others in need

“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.”

10: Continues to seek after God

“Well, my brothers and sisters, let’s summarize. When you meet together, one will sing, another will teach, another will tell some special revelation God has given, one will speak in tongues, and another will interpret what is said. But everything that is done must strengthen all of you.”

11: Keeps each other accountable

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

Make sure to keep each other accountable in a loving way because keeping someone accountable should be because you love them and want the best for them

12: Grow each other

“Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another.”
